³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ welcomed the Class of 2026 to campus on Sunday, Aug. 21. With 817 members, this is the most selective and academically accomplished class in the history of the institution — formed from the largest applicant pool ever seen by the University.

On this season’s premiere episode of 13, ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ’s Senior Director of Communications and Parent Initiatives Rebecca A. Downing, talks about the University’s resources for parents to help their students transition to college. 

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Bookstore opening its doors in downtown Hamilton following a lengthy renovation that transformed a dilapidated building into the village’s retail anchor. 

Visitors to the Village of Hamilton will have a new lodging option starting on Aug. 15, as the newly refurbished Hotel One75 will open its doors at 175 Utica Street. 

More than 110 aspiring and published authors — alumni, parents, students, employees, local residents, and visitors from across the country — were on campus in June for the 27th annual ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Writers Conference. The event was spearheaded by Associate Professor of English Jennifer Brice, with assistance from four undergraduate Creative Fellows.

Filmmaker Jacqueline King-Howell ’97 screened a portion of her upcoming documentary, Men of Mark, inspired by the work and research of ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ trustee emerita Diane Ciccone ’74, P’10.

The New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, including ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ, has been awarded a $1.5 million grant by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to create the NY6 Mellon Academic Leadership Fellows Program.

Questions on happiness have perplexed and fascinated for centuries, and for the last year, they are questions that Professor Rebecca Shiner and 17 of her students have been working to answer.

³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ welcomed alumni for two reunion weekends this month, reviving the tradition last enjoyed on campus during the Bicentennial Reunion of 2019.

³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ has announced a four-year extension of its test-optional pilot program. Through the 2026–27 application season, students seeking admission to the University will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores.
