Peter Balakian, Donald M. and Constance H. Rebar Professor in humanities and professor of English, has been selected as the 2019 recipient of the Jerome Balmuth Award for Teaching.

Rabbi Barry R. Baron, former command chaplain in the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, N.C., has been named associate university chaplain and campus rabbi at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ, effective June 15.

Randy Fuller, Russell ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Distinguished University Professor of biology and environmental studies, has received the 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS).

Robert H.N. Ho ’56, H’11 has been appointed Member to the Order of Canada (C.M.), one of that country’s highest civilian honors.

Daniel B. Hurwitz ’86, P’17,’20, current Chair of the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Board of Trustees, has announced that he will step down from his chairmanship, effective May 4, 2019, in response to increased professional obligations.
